Join us for a fun walk to one of Saline’s favorite ice cream places – Mickey’s Dairy Twist. We’ll walk the neighborhoods to work up an ice cream appetite. Mickey’s will deduct 50 cents from each ice cream order – what a deal! Walking back will erase all the ice cream calories!

May 31st Community Walk

This walk will start at 9 am on May 31, by the Farmers’ Market on S Ann Arbor St in Saline. Everyone is invited to participate in one of the few FUN and FREE events in the area. We will walk at a leisurely pace to the newly expanded Saline District Library which is having a Grand Opening celebration starting at 10 am. Those who wish to can remain at the Library to participate in the Opening and those who don’t wish to will walk back to the starting point on S Ann Arbor St.

The walk is approximately two miles round trip on sidewalks and trails which are barrier free and we will walk at a pace which is comfortable for all including small children. I hope to see you on the 31st.

Hello PUPSTERS,

The Oct walk will be our last regularly scheduled Community Walk until next Spring. Please continue to walk and exercise on you own as your time and schedule permits. There is indoor walking at Liberty School, sponsored by the Senior Center, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 to 1. Please contact the Senior Center at 429-9274 for more info. Have a healthy, happy Winter and will see you in the Spring.

September Walk

This walk took place on Sep 29, a very pleasant day. We started at our usual spot on S Ann Arbor, down W Henry, through the Cemetery and Curtiss Park to the Max Adler Trail. This is a trail through the woods and by the river with several loops. Leslee Niethammer led the walk and got all of us back to the beginnning. We then returned to S Ann Arbor where the Harvest of the Arts was underway. Our business partner on this walk was the Downtown Diner who gave each participant a certificate for a free soft drink or coffee. Thanks Gus and Keith.
